The people that are familiar with this saying understand it at a general level, but very few people actually fully grasp the meaning of this saying.

In case you haven’t noticed, everything in the world is based on repetition – everything is a cycle. The most notable change that falls outside this scope in a manner of speaking is materialism, thereby meaning that material items get better in an evolutionary sense (even this though remains the same in a base level). But overall, when you look at the world, and you look at everything in detail.. what will you notice?

– The habits you have, both daily as well as more elaborate are the same; yesterday you took a shower, tomorrow you will do the same thing and so on and so forth. You make dinner yesterday, tomorrow you’ll do the same and so on and so forth. You went shopping yesterday, tomorrow you will do the same and so on and so forth.
– Society as a whole showcases this repetition; 5 years ago a store opened, after a while it closes & another store takes its place and it just goes on and on and on.
– You have children and raise a family, just as your neighbors – your children will do the same, as will your grandchildren and it just goes on and on and on..
– In some parts of the world there is an armed conflict, it stops after a while and then after years or decades or even a century or so, things start up again, and on and on
– 10 to 20 years ago there were tremendous innovative advancements in technology for example; 20 to 30 years or so from now, the same will happen again – and on and on.

Existence is cyclical; as unique as your situation might be, unless you are truly unique across mankind’s existence which will make you an exception obviously – rest assured, someone else has been through the same thing or similar that you are going through. A century from now, regardless of where you will be existentially, someone will be going through the same thing you went through.

Once again, excluding individuals and events that are truly unique across mankind’s existence, it’s literally and figuratively speaking the same old story. This ties in directly with the Kabbalah – God’s will “flows” through all the aspects and is carried out by the Archangels, and round and round we keep going. This also aligns with the biblical saying “all the delights of the world shall come and go…”
