Why does mainstream religion portray the occult as malevolent & related

Standard

The answer is quite simple: misdirection; you think that mainstream religion(s) is actually interested in helping you ascend spiritually or even anything that remotely resembles that? Any sensible person knows that that’s obviously not the case. The institutions and whatnot that fall under the moniker of mainstream religion, loosely put, care only about power through control, amongst other things. They care only about you drinking the Kool-Aid so to speak, in terms of what they sell you, making it so that they thereby get what they want. This is why anything involving spirituality or the occult is demonized in the finest sense of the word. There are in-between sections pertaining to this subject, in the sense that not everyone that has worked for one of these institutions or involved in mainstream religion has a problem with the occult or does not recommend it. Some were involved in both, but generally speaking it came from a place of constructiveness; they actually wanted & sought out spiritual enlightenment.

The occult does what mainstream religion promises; you’re actually coming into contact with spiritual forces that they only discuss in theory and go blah blah blah without actually giving you the results you want and need. One should think of it as the typical unreliable politician, that only talks out of his rear end and talks around the subject that needs addressing and so on and so forth, rather than actually addressing the problem directly and delivering results to the public.

The reason more (average) people that seek out spiritual ascension or any kind of spiritual help don’t get involved in the occult is because of what I’ve already discussed in the past, which makes it so that people associate occult practice with failure, amongst other things (disapproval through association):

The occult world

The mentality of mainstream religion and related organizations is, loosely summed up, this – ” oh, people actually making their own decisions on whether they want to follow us or get involved in the occult, making up their own minds? Them getting actual help through the occult, provided they do it right etc.? We can’t have that, now can we?? “.
