This article is from my “vault” of spirits, so to speak; a really long time ago I had an objective that I no longer had an interest in to present day, primarily solving missing persons cases (and the rewards of course that come along with it) & after some failed attempts with spirits like Vassago (due to no fault of His own, I was a total newbie at this stage), I decided to petition the Moon the same way I did with Venus to send me a spirit that specializes in the aforementioned; I promptly did so, and the Moon (as is the case in general/as usual) didn’t disappoint.
The one sent to me goes by the name Anata and specializes in what was asked, finding missing items/objects/people or anything that needs to be “found”- He’s Lunar (5° in Cancer- acquisition) and looks in general like an Angel dressed in a grey robe with dark features, e.g. black wings/pupils. He’s infernal & lacks tact somewhat and can be imprudent (at least when I first met Him). Lastly, His skill is out of this world, so to speak.
Moon phases in the occult; it’s not exactly a secret. I’ll start right off the bat by saying that Lunar phases and the positions of the Moon aren’t that important- not anymore than the average planet in any case, depending on the magical system you practise.
Lunar placements (so waxing, waning etc.) is primarily used in Witchcraft and Wicca (as far as I know) and to a slightly lesser extent, pagan forms of magick e.g. folk magick.
For those that are unfamiliar with this concept:
Regardless of which magickal system, Moon phases increase the potency of a working when it comes to primarily clairvoyance or clandestine workings; all things of an “occult” nature. To a lesser extent, the general things people seek in life (money, love etc.)
In general, a waxing Moon is for obtainment or increasement, and waning is for destruction in these matters or decreasement regarding effect/severity.
I am making a documentation for myself; I have just been approached by an angel named Miraqua who offered his services to me. I am currently behind my laptop as usual, and saw a tall figure to my left out of the corner of my eye. And there He was, wearing a pink robe and tall. Even His eyes are pink. He preferred I document Him, since He has heard a lot about me and my current financial manager Raquiel knows Him. I did the lookup on Him, and He’s lunar (Cancer, 19°- dilettante) and has some potential, but restricts himself which makes me doubt on whether I’ll be able to ever get a chance to work with Him. Nevertheless, He’s still one to keep in mind and hence this article. We shall see. He specializes in money.
I wrote a reminder to myself a good while ago as stated above, referring to an angel by the name of Miraqua, that approached me and offered His services; now, it has been the case that my Vice Lord Sandalphon has appointed Him as a booster (aside from Belial).
Miraqua is Lunar like I mentioned and deals with money; He has done well so far and appears as a tall angel, similar to Raziel; they have a lot in common. He works in a subtle way, and yet brings (under My Vice Lord) good results, but I’m sure that this is the case in general: Enough inquiries and customers and so on.. I’ll be covering the “martian” spirit from the Arbatel grimoire today, Phaleg; He is said to govern warlike affairs and can raise one up to great heights herein. Wrong.
Phaleg is Lunar (2° in cancer- clingy) & specializes in wealth; this is what He has to offer to the avg person and the only drawback in working with Him is that your occult work with Him might be exposed to the world or others involved in the process. Appearance is that of a specter hovering in the air in general, engulfed in blue flames.
I’ll be covering the goetic spirit Barbatos in this installment; below His description:
“The Eighth Spirit is Barbatos. He is a Great Duke, and appeareth when the Sun is in Sagittary, with four noble Kings and their companies of great troops. He giveth understanding of the singing of Birds, and of the Voices of other creatures, such as the barking of Dogs. He breaketh the Hidden treasures open that have been laid by the Enchantments of Magicians. He is of the order of Virtues, of which some part he retaineth still; and he knoweth all things Past, and to Come, and conciliateth Friends and those that be in Power“.
Barbatos is a lunar spirit (Cancer, 5°- acquisition) and specializes in leading others to treasures; the other skills attributed to Him are not what He excels at, although He does offer some help in those departments as a lunar spirit. This is unsurprising, since most lunars have related skills, examples being Agares & Caim. Like Caim, Barbatos will not give away riches easily & restrict himself, unless you have given Him enough to prove that you’re worthy of millions per example. The rest is seemingly true, although I didn’t confirm this; this is what He told me (being of Virtues and all..). Confirmed per 20/4/2023 that He is a fallen Angel, from the aforementioned Order of Virtues.
Appearance is that of a woodsman or archer in green/ blue apparel with blond hair (see featured image). His seal below. See here for my follow-up article on Him.
I’ll be covering the angel mentioned in the GKoS, Iachadiel; His name is on the 5th pentacle of the Moon, with the description “Its Angel Iachadiel serveth unto destruction and loss, as well as unto the destruction of enemies. Thou mayest also call upon him by Abdon and Dalé against all Phantoms of the night, and to summon the souls of the departed from Hades“.
Iachadiel is Lunar (19° in Cancer- Dilettante) and favors, as His description states, destruction and loss; destroying enemies and undoing events & situations is His “thing”.
He can be approached for general Lunar affairs, but is reluctant in general about these. His appearance is that of a generic angel dressed in white robe etc. Aside from the aforementioned, He can aid one in focusing one’s mind and mentality, and improve self confidence and mental alertness.
I’ll be covering the Olympic spirit Och from the magickal workbook called the Arbatel today; For those of you that don’t know the arbatel, follow the link on it’s name and/ or see a copy here.
As His description states therein, “Och governeth solar things; he giveth 600 years, with perfect health; he bestoweth great wisdom, giveth the most excellent Spirits, teacheth perfect Medicines: he converteth all things into most pure gold and precious stones: he giveth gold, and a purse springing with gold. He that is dignified with his Character, he maketh him to be worshipped as a Deity, by the Kings of the whole world“.
Well, He may be solar within the guidelines of the Arbatel, but not in general; for Och is a lunar spirit (Cancer, 26°- agriculture) and his attributes skills-wise are correct. So health, wealth, medicine, herbs are His forte . He works in such an abstract and coercive manner as to cause strife in one’s life or destabilize it, but adversely sees to a one-track household. So the opposite for that. Keep that in mind. So He’ll throw certain aspects of life in disarray.
Funny thing is that I never liked the arbatel and remember people asking me whether I’ve worked with the spirits from it too; the whole reason for this piece is the fact that Och asked me to, appeared out of nowhere today as a medieval nobleman wearing yellow on top of a horse, and sometimes an ass. Lastly, Och says that He doesn’t mind that people use Solar correspondences, as long as they work with Him. He definitely doesn’t lack strength.
I’ll display the agricultural skill that Och possesses; long story short, I managed (with zero agricultural knowledge) to grow 2 mundane vegetable plants under lesser conditions; a tomato and pepper plant was my aim, but all went well- seeds sprouted into tiny plants between a week or two and from the 9 seeds that I planted, it appears that all 9 have sprouted as opposed to the 3 or 4 that I’d expect which is generally the case, according to the instructional videos I watched.

* He told me that He was of the order of Powers, but no more; but is in between realms and neither celestial or infernal; Sort of a freelance spirit.
Imagine what He can do for farmers that do large scale work..
